About EHO

Enterprise technology. Independent from the start.

EHO360 is the technology company behind PBM360.

Our story

1983. The Berlin Wall was still standing, the first Macintosh was a year away, and .com did not exist.

Tom Lanham was a systems and applications programmer who taught himself to code by reading punch cards in the U.S. Army. He wrote point-of-sale and banking systems before most people had ever seen a computer.

He started Tom Lanham Software from a folding desk in his living room, building pharmacy management systems for independents. The computers were delivered in a tan Oldsmobile to customers (mom-and-pop pharmacies) throughout rural America. His first client was Alaco Discount Pharmacy in Gadsden, Alabama, who paid for the first line of code: 000100.

The company's tagline at the time read "Custom Design, Development, and Support," but Tom's favorite line said it better:

If you can describe it, I can program it.

– Tom Lanham

1993. The entire web had about 600 sites, and the iPhone was 14 years in the future.

EHO's predecessor, which Tom co-founded, launched that year and processed its first claims before year's end. Through the mid-1990s, independent pharmacies in Alabama used our system for basic claims processing, reporting, and billing aggregation. That was our core business.

We focused on underserved communities, where the local pharmacy was, and in many places still is, the first place people turn for care. Those pharmacies couldn't afford downtime, errors, or a phone that went unanswered.

Over three decades, the relatively simple work we started for those pharmacies grew into PBM360.

Today. Just down the road from our HQ, reusable rocket engines are tested and hyperscale AI data centers are growing like weeds.

The technology has gone from desktop pharmacy management software to enterprise everything, and EHO wrote every layer of it.

PBM360 is the platform behind PBMs, TPAs, and pharmacy services companies serving hospice patients, injured workers, and incarcerated patients. Our clients design and manage their own programs, and PBM360 adjudicates claims by their rules.

Bryan Springston co-founded EHO360 with Tom in 2019. Bryan is our President, responsible for governance, operations, compliance, and client service. Tom still provides oversight and advice, especially on technology strategy and financial reporting.

We all still put independents first. The pharmacy network available to our clients is open to any willing provider, and we don't steer patients, run closed networks, or mandate mail order.

Our headquarters is an old bank building in Belton, Texas, where we design, develop, and support the systems ourselves.

And we still answer the phone.
